Road Trip Through France

GodzillaPin’s office is shut for the holidays! The duo have decided to go on a road trip through France with a new companion…

The trio left on Saturday noon, and made their way towards Gueugnon, a mid-journey pit stop for dinner and sleep. They were hosted by a pretty cool family on AirBNB, whose three sons are all budding musicians, and the parents themselves are pretty hip, with an unrestrained passion for stargazing.

After a lovely repos, it was back on the road again. One of the nicer things about road-tripping through a country is the relative lack of stress. No trains/planes to catch, plus stops whenever you feel like.

GodzillaPin also did the planet a small favour by offering to chauffeur a couple originally from Colombia, who were in Auvergne for a wedding. One of the best things about this style of travelling is getting to meet people; the duo have heard stories and learnt things they’d otherwise have been completely ignorant about.

It was a long drive - after 8 hours on the road, everyone was relieved to finally arrive. Destination: Tarnos!
